ルイ・トムリンソンが、2023年にワールド・ツアーを実施することを発表した。

　今回のツアーは、今週金曜日にリリースされた最新ソロ・アルバム『Faith in the Future』を引っさげたもので、数か月前に幕を閉じた【ウォールズ・ツアー】に続くものとなる。

　ワン・ダイレクションのメンバーとしても知られる彼は、アルバム・リリースに先駆けて、最新シングル「Silver Tongues」を公開していた。アルバムからの3曲目の先行シングルとなったこの曲はポップ・パンクの要素を含んでおり、ルイが最も誇りに思っている曲だと、プレス・リリースで説明していた。

　ルイは、SiriusXMのインタビューで、『Faith in the Future』が前作に比べて、よりダイナミックなアルバムだと表現した。「ライブはもちろんのこと、楽曲のプロダクションも重要です」と彼は話し、「このアルバムには、プロデューサーとともにより勇気を出して取り組みました。最初のアルバムでは、ギターの音やギターを主体とした曲にこだわっていて、少しばかり単調だったと思うんです」と説明した。

　最新ツアーでは、アメリカ、カナダ、ヨーロッパを巡り、北米日程はコネチカット州を皮切りに、米NYのフォレスト・ヒルズ・スタジアムで幕を閉じる。

　『Faith in the Future』は、ルイの2ndスタジオ・アルバムで、前作『ウォールズ』は2020年1月31日付の米ビルボード・アルバム・チャート“Billboard 200”で9位で初登場した。
